Love, money and a good book
That is a common quote people use in El Salvador whenever a new year starts, a wish for the year that is about to come.
I can't complain.
I still am figuring out the money part, however it has been enough for the life I am currently leading, I have had the things I wanted, I am buying a new apartment, I have traveled, I still have to plan very well every cent, but that's ok.
During New Year's celebration, my dad told me, while holding a beer and watching the sun set at the beach "Girl, 2005 will be a great year"
Reagarding the love part, yes, I have found love.
My boyfriend, Manuel, a handsome and ambitious 29 year old mexican. We've been together since the beginning of january and every day I discover new things I love in him.
For me, to publicly admit that I'm in love is a big deal. I am making myself vulnerable to public humiliation, but this time, I don't care... I want him to share every part of my life.
The third wish varies from person to person... some people say luck, others say "world peace"... I am happy enough having a good book with me.
This is the start of a brand new year, only 70 days have passed, 295 to come. If I have been lucky enough to have my 3 wishes in 70 days... what can I expect during the rest!?
Dad, I mark your words... 2005 is already a good year.
